1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Ultimate Bible ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including visitors, browsers, and contributors of content.

2. About the App

Ultimate Bible is a free iOS Bible reading application. It provides offline access to multiple Bible translations, daily verses, bookmarks, highlights, personal notes, search, and community features (comments and likes on the Daily Verse). No account or registration is required — you are assigned an anonymous identifier automatically on first launch.

3. No Account Required

Ultimate Bible uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. You are never asked for your name, email address, or password. Your anonymous identifier is used solely to link community interactions (likes and comments) to a single device session. You may request deletion of this identifier and any linked data at any time by contacting us.

4. Acceptable Use

You may:

• Use the App for personal, non-commercial Bible reading and study
• Create bookmarks, highlights, and personal notes stored on your device
• Post respectful comments on the Daily Verse
• Share verses and Daily Verse images via iOS share sheet
• Leave a voluntary tip via in-app purchase to support development

You may not:

• Post comments that are abusive, hateful, harassing, or deliberately misleading
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Scrape, reproduce, or redistribute Bible text beyond personal use without the relevant publisher's licence
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our backend systems

5. Community Features (Comments)

The Daily Verse comments section is a public, moderated space. By posting a comment you agree that:

• Your comment, chosen display name, and avatar colour will be visible to all users of the App
• We may remove any comment that violates these Terms without prior notice
• We may ban an anonymous UID from posting if it repeatedly violates community standards
• You retain no ownership claim over comments once posted — you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to store and display them within the App

6. Bible Text Licences

Bible translations included in the App are used under licence from their respective copyright holders and publishers. All scripture content remains the intellectual property of its publishers. You may quote and share verses for personal, educational, or devotional purposes in accordance with each publisher's fair-use guidelines, but you may not reproduce entire books or translations without written permission from the relevant publisher.

7. In-App Purchases & Tips

Ultimate Bible is free to download and use in full. Optional tips ($1.99, $4.99, $9.99, $24.99) are processed by Apple's App Store via RevenueCat. Tips are voluntary gestures of support and do not unlock additional features. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by Apple's standard refund policy. 8. Intellectual Property

The Ultimate Bible name, icon, design, code, and all non-scripture content are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding. Your personal notes, bookmarks, and highlights are yours — they are stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. Bible content is presented as sourced from licensed publishers — we make no theological claims about translation accuracy or interpretation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which may be zero).

11. Children

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is designed for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Community features (comments) allow users to choose a display name — parents and guardians should supervise children when using these features.

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple services. Use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced within the App. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most current version. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to community features (comments and likes) for any anonymous UID that repeatedly violates these Terms. Because no account exists, there is nothing else to terminate — you may always continue to use the offline Bible reading features of the App.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Philippines, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law in your country of residence.
